Speedy Spirit
Speedy Spirits are rare ghosts found in Luigi's Mansion.
Speedy Spirits are pale blue and have a similar look to a Gold Ghost. Unlike others who attack Luigi, Speedy Spirits hide from him. If they are discovered by examining an object, they will panic and try to run off. Luigi must shine his light on it and immediately suck it up before it does. If Luigi manages to capture one of them, it will give some hidden treasure which can consist of anything from coins to precious gems. Speedy Spirits and Gold Mice are also called Money Ghosts.
Speedy Spirits are only found when a room is dark, so Luigi should search everything in a room carefully before turning on the lights. They are quite frustrating to bag, as they tend to disappear in a blink of an eye. They are immune to any element as well, so Luigi shouldn't waste time spraying them. If Luigi doesn't catch a Speedy Spirit and the lights turn on in the room he will have one more chance to catch them. When the power goes out in the mansion, Luigi can attempt to capture the ones he missed, but it will be harder because of the large amount of other ghosts that are after him. However, if Luigi uncovers a Speedy Spirit and fails to catch it, it will never come back, even after the blackout. Therefore the player will have to reload the game to try again. Also, if the player fails to capture the Speedy Spirit/Blue Ghost and that the player saves his/her game by accident, the Blue Ghost/Speedy Spirit will never, ever come back, even if the player reloads his/her game.

Notes
- Every Speedy Spirit gives Luigi 20 Coins when vacuumed up.
- There is a total of 15 Speedy Spirits in the game.
- Three Speedy Spirits can only be found during the Blackout: Melody's piano bench (Conservatory), Chauncey's crib (Nursery), and in a chest in the Hidden Room.
- If one defeats a Speedy Spirit using an element, it does not expel money.
