Golf
Golf is the very first sports game that Mario ever took part in. It is an old uncommon game for the NES that could also be played on the Nintendo Playchoice-10. The golfer in this game is actually Mario, though he is not wearing his traditional shirt and overalls[1], and furthermore Captain Rainbow would retcon the golfer's identity by making him the separate character Ossan. Golf was released in 1984.
Gameplay
The gameplay of this game is simple. You are given a ball, and a map on the left side of the screen shows the hole you want to get to, and the obstacles on the way there. You get more points depending on how many times you have to hit the ball to get it in the hole. Many different types of clubs are also available.
This game was a purchasable item in the GameCube version of Animal Crossing.
