Mario Club Co., Ltd., formerly the Super Mario Club and simply the Mario Club, is the game-testing and debugging team for many of Nintendo's games, including the namesake Super Mario franchise, having been credited in most releases in the franchise since Virtual Boy Wario Land in 1995. Based in Kyoto, it was established as a full subsidiary to Nintendo under its current name in July 2009,[1] with New Super Mario Bros. Wii being the first Super Mario game to credit the company under this name, for which it also produced the "Super Skills" hint movies.[2] As of September 16, 2024, the Mario Club consists of 400 employees. When credited, the club is usually listed under the heading "Special Thanks," but more recent games list the club under either "Debug" or "Testing."
