Krooks are Kremlings encountered in several levels of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. Krooks wear large red, button-up trench coats and possess hooks for hands. Krooks attack by hurling their dangerous appendages at any nearby monkies, if the hooks miss they will boomerang back. Krooks can be defeated with a simple jump on the head or be hitting them with any kind of projectile, they are usually found in caves and castles, but will occasionally appear in other levels.
Notable Krooks
- Mr. X (possibly)
Trivia
- According to the game's credits, Krooks belong to the "Kremling Kuthroats" enemy class.
- It is unknown what kind of Kremling Krooks are, they resemble Kritters but are much more scaly, possess bigger feet and have rounder eyes without cats-eye slits like Kritters have. They also have a minor resemblance to Kobbles, another type of Kremling.
- It is also unknown if Krooks actually have hands which are hidden under their sleeves or if their hooks have replaced them.
- A Krook only uses one hand for throwing hooks. The other one is never used.
