Trompettes[1][2] are king trumpet mushroom-like enemies that appear in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, introduced in the level Bulrush Coming Through! They appear in a wide range of heights, some tall enough that a player can't jump over them unassisted. The heights of Trompettes is stated to correspond to their age, [2] but this does not affect gameplay as Trompette heights are always consistent. When stomped on, they take out any other enemies behind them as they fall off the screen, as well as being able to collect any collectibles in its path.

Two variants of Trompette appear in Super Mario Bros. Wonder: the Brown Trompette, which continuously walks forward unless it hits a wall, and the Purple Trompette, which additionally turns around when it reaches a ledge.
