Sluglugs[1] are purple-violet sea slug-like enemies with yellow spikes and two yellow feelers with orange gradient tips (particularly resembling the Spanish shawl) that appear in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. They are underwater enemies that move their long bodies in and out of Warp Pipes. Attacking it with fireballs causes it to retreat, though unlike Piranha Creepers, they are not defeated when they fully retreat into their pipe. Slugslugs can be defeated with five fireballs, a trunk swipe in Elephant form, touching it with the drill top in Drill form, using a Super Star, or by luring a Smackerel to jump out and attack them. Sluglugs are encountered in two levels: Leaping Smackerel and Wiggler Race Swimming!
