The DK series is a small series in the Donkey Kong franchise. It consists of two puzzle games released for Nintendo handhelds (namely the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo DS). The games' main element are pegs which are use to aid the Kongs to climb and swing across levels. The gameplay was inspired by the Nintendo Entertainment System game Clu Clu Land, but it has been re-formatted in aspects to provide more of an adventure game feel to it.

DK: King of Swing is the first installment in the DK series, it was released for the Game Boy Advance in 2005. The game features Adventure mode, the main story of the game, it begins when King K. Rool steals the medals from the Jungle Jam Tournament, leaving up to Donkey Kong (or Diddy Kong; if playing in the unlockable Diddy Mode) to travel across five worlds to recover them all that are scattered across the levels. Jungle Jam is the game's tournament mode where the player can compete against others on five different kinds of events with a certain amount of challenges, along with additional playable characters to unlock, it can be played in single-player or multiplayer with up to four players via the GBA Link Cable. A Time Attack Mode is also available after beating Adventure mode, where the player can choose any of the levels each with its own best time and play through to beat it with a better time on the high scores list. |

DK: Jungle Climber is the second and latest installment in the DK series, it was released for the Nintendo DS in 2007. In Adventure mode (the game's main story), it starts out when the Kong family are on vacation at Sun Sun Island, while there, the Kongs notice a giant banana at the top of the mountain and decide to go check it out. Once there, King K. Rool and the Kremlings steals the Crystal Bananas which they plan to conquer the universe with it. Soon after, a Banana Ship attacks the Kongs, but once its defeated, an banana alien named Xananab comes out of it, apologizing to the Kongs whom he mistook for Kremlings, and explain to them that King K. Kool stole the Crystal Bananas to which the Kongs agree to help him get them back. The game also features Challenge mode, where the player can choose out of seven minigames to play and go for the top score; as well as Extra Stages to unlock by collecting a certain amount of Banana Coins. Multiplayer mode is also available to play with up to four players. |

DK: King of Swing -- Hurling for Distance was an online Adobe Flash advergame promoting DK: King of Swing for the Game Boy Advance. It was playable on the official DK: King of Swing website, as well as in the Nintendo Arcade section of nintendo.com, which was removed in newer versions of the website. The characters in the game are simply depicted as their inanimate artworks used for DK: King of Swing, with Donkey Kong being the playable character, Cranky Kong announcing the results, and a Mini-Necky spectating. |
