The Taru-gata Machine is a time machine that appears in Super Mario-kun volume 14. It is a big barrel with a "T".

While visiting a future in which Bowser rules over the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi puts a stop over his domain. Intentioned to destroy their past for this, Bowser uses his magic powers to time travel back to Yoshi's Island and prevent the Mario Brothers' birth. In order to help Mario, the freed Toads point them to a time machine shop, where Mario buys the Taru-gata Machine (tempted by the free Banana Bunch that came with the sale) by giving Yoshi to the shop owner.

Mario and Luigi enter hyperspace and use the dog-nose of the Taru-gata Machine to locate Bowser. After losing him due to a fart that disrupted the nose of the machine, the Mario Brothers arrives in the correct era, just in time to stop Kamek from getting away with their baby selves. Kamek, however, expells them from their ship with a dagger, stabbing the barrel and making them pop out like in a game of One Shot Blackbeard Crisis. In doing so, Kamek drops Baby Mario on a Yoshi, while Mario and Luigi falls into a bush.
