The Flotacious Blimp Fruit is the first mission of the Tall Trunk Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2. This mission introduces the Blimp Fruit.

Layout

Blimp Yoshi floats upward in the Tall Trunk Galaxy
Using the Blimp Fruit at the base of the tree.

The player starts at the base of a large tree. Moving around to the bottom of the planet, the player can find a Yoshi egg and break it open to release Yoshi. Having Yoshi eat one of the Blimp Fruits around the tree will cause him to inflate and begin floating upwards. Using a chain of Blimp Fruit as the player floats up, the player can climb to the top of the tree and use a Launch Star to reach the next planet.

The next, log-shaped planet is a two-dimensional platforming segment full of horizontally moving platforms. On the side of the log the platforms are moving from, the player can use two Blimp Fruits to move through a path with a ? Coin and get over a ledge to the next half of the segment. Here, the player has to make use of Blimp Fruits and collect five Star Chips while avoiding prickly plants to form a Launch Star leading to the final planet.

The Wood Circle Cut Planet is another two-dimensional platforming segment and the player starts above the Power Star they need to reach. Falling down a deep hole, the player will then need to use Blimp Fruit to float back up, avoiding prickly plants and Paragoombas to reach the Power Star above.
