Mutant Ninja Sentai Nokonokoman, Super Mario-kun

The Mutant Ninja Sentai Nokonokoman is a group of original enemies that briefly appear in two chapters of the Super Mario-kun manga. They are a parody of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the eponymous franchise, preceding the Koopa Bros., another parody of the Ninja Turtles from Paper Mario, by ten years. They are formed by four masked Koopa Troopas, each one with a shell of a different color: red, blue, green, and yellow.

They first appear in chapter 13 of volume 1, where they impede Mario, Luigi and Yoshi's path by disguising themselves as an extendable Warp Pipe. After Mario realizes that the pipe is not an inanimate object, the four Koopas present themselves and then proceed to attack the trio with Kamenoko Shurikens that hit Yoshi. Mario and Luigi try to attack them, but they use another disguise trick and all of them transform into four Princess Peaches. Mario and Luigi, although knowing it is a trick, are too lost to fight them, but then notice that all the princesses have a shell on their backs. Mario defeats them with a cape twirl and the heroes continue on their trip.

In the second chapter of volume 2, one of the Koopas is seen being punished by Bowser, who is stomping him, a Chargin' Chuck, and a normal Koopa Troopa under his feet in anger for his minions' many failures.
