The Mutant Ninja Sentai Nokonokoman (ミュータント 忍者戦隊 ノコノコマン, Mutant Ninja Sentai Koopa Troopa-man!) are a group of original enemies that briefly appeared in two chapters of the Super Mario-kun manga. They are a parody of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, preceding by ten years the Koopa Bros., another parody of the TMNT that will appear in Paper Mario. They are formed by four masked Koopa Troopas, each one with a shell of a different color: red, blue, green and yellow.
They first appear in chapter 13 of volume 1, where they impede Mario, Luigi and Yoshi's path by disguising as an extendable warp pipe. After Mario realizes that the pipe isn't an inanimate object, the four Ninja Koopas presents themselves and then proceed to attack the trio with Kamenoko Shurikens that hit Yoshi. Mario and Luigi try to attack them, but they use another disguise trick and all of them transforms into four Princess Peaches. Mario and Luigi, even if they know it's a trick, are too lost to fight them, not before they notice that all the princesses have a shell on their backs. Mario defeats them with a cape twirl and the heroes continue on their trip.
In the second chapter of volume 2, one of the Ninja Koopas is seen been punished by Bowser, who's stomping him, a Chargin' Chuck and a normal Koopa Troopa under his feet in anger for his minions' many failures.
