Toad's Factory
Template:Racecourse Toad's Factory is the fourth and final course of the Mushroom Cup from Mario Kart Wii. As the name implies, the course takes place in a factory owned by Toad. This factory seems to be producing Item Boxes, as seen in several parts of the course.
Description
This track is located in the interior and exterior of a large item box factory. The course's features include conveyor belts in the track, which can either help or hinder the player depending on what direction he or she may be going, as well as some hydraulic crushing machines over conveyor belts, which may crush the player. Multiple boxes slide along on the conveyor belts, which can slow vehicles down if they hit them, but they may let out a Mushroom or a banana when broken. Towards the end of the track, a large pool of mud must be crossed by the players. To get over quickly, Dash Panels are used. However, bulldozers on either side of the track will alternately move back and forth, covering up and revealing Dash Panels. The third and final Dash Panel is on a ramp.
Amongst the many vehicles driving on Moonview Highway is a truck with a mushroom emblem on it and the word 'Factory' on it, a likely reference to this course.
Course layout
The course begins just outside the factory with a picture of the owner, Toad, ahead. There is a tight turn with Item Boxes across. After the turn, there are several conveyor belts under hydraulic presses, which create and destroy Item Boxes for the player to grab, but may crush the player. There are three conveyor belts; one moving forward and the other two going back. It is shown on this course that Item Boxes are created by injecting some form of rainbow energy into regular wooden crates. These wooden creates are replaced by unbreakable metal boxes during time trials.
After this area, the player goes outside, where they can jump off a Dash Panel ramp onto platforms that move left and right. Here, there are more conveyor belts, but they move left and right rather than forward and backward. Wooden boxes are on the conveyor belts and slow down the player if hit, but may contain items. If the player is not careful, they may fall in the water below. When playing as a Mii, Toad's face in the outside room with crates is replaced with that of a Mii.
After the platforms is another room that leads to another section of the factory. There, there is a place where the player can fall off if they happen to turn too tightly. After this section is a room with two conveyor belts moving opposite directions (forward and backward) and a small path with item boxes, but no conveyor belts. The direction of these conveyor belts changes after each lap.
After the double conveyor belt room, there is a room full of red smoke blasters. The player then turns right and onto a ramp with Dash Panels that lead outside the factory and outside into the dirt. The player may perform a stunt to reach the floating item boxes to receive an item.
On the ground, the player will notice a lot of bumps. The player may perform a stunt on these bumps to gain momentum. There is a turn right and into the area with the tractors, mud, and Dash Panels. If the player happens to turn too tightly on this turn, he or she can fall into the water.
At the tractor area, the road is covered in mud. In order to go through it without losing any speed, the player must drive over the Dash Panels, left or right. If the left Dash Panel is exposed, the Dash Panel directly right of this panel will get covered by the tractors and vice versa. Same goes for the second set of Dash Panels, except that the pattern is inverted. After the tractor, there is a bump that has a Dash Panel on it will enable the player to execute a Trick before the player crosses the finish line. After that, the lap has been completed, and the cycle will continue until the end of the race.
Shortcuts
There is a shortcut that allows the player to cut the final curve, just after jumping out of the factory, the player must use a Mushroom at the soil ramps and perform a trick so the player can pass over the waterhole falling just before the big bulldozers. This can also be done without a Mushroom, but is more difficult.
In the muddy area, racers can save time by going on the dirt side of the final ramp instead of hitting the boost ramp.
Tournaments
A tournament took place on this course, where players competed in a time trial race. However, this time trial involved racing through Toad's Factory backwards. As a result, ramps had been added to make it possible to complete the tournament. It was the first tournament of January 2009, and it was repeated as the first tournament of January 2011, the second tournament of April 2012, and the July 2013 first tournament.

It has been requested that this section be rewritten and expanded to include more information. Reason: specify which guide the third bio is from
- Website bios:
- "Drive over conveyer[sic] belts, through muck, and across moving platforms in one of the trickiest new courses."
- "Technology isn't always helpful! With moving walls, conveyer belts and heavy machinery obstructing your path, it's going to take some special driving to bring home the Mushroom Cup."
- Guide: "The final course offers a relatively square-shaped track, complete with a wide starting tarmac run that enters a conveyor-belt building where crushers and arrows are part of your racing run. An exterior series of leaps across more conveyor belts forces you to keep a straight line into a winding tunnel, and make a large leap onto a sandy track before a final race across the mud."

Trivia
- The first seven seconds of the course's music do not play at the start of the race. Instead, the music will restart from the beginning when the player takes the large jump after the room filled with gas. This is the only course in the Mario Kart series where this happens, therefore making it practically impossible to hear the whole song (unless one simply sits in place long enough for the whole song to play through). The music restart did not occur during the Toad's Factory competition, however.
- The mechanic of adjacent conveyor belts that move in opposite directions, switching directions after a certain time, is borrowed for the Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version of Rainbow Road.
