“Well, that's one to check off the bucket list, eh? Bathing inside a volcano-fueled hot spring, I mean.”
Huey, Paper Mario: Color Splash

Redpepper Crater is a location from Paper Mario: Color Splash. The path leading here is unlocked after getting the Red Mini Paint Star from Redpepper Volcano, and unlocks paths leading to Toad Trainworks and Vortex Island. The Big Lava Bubble guards the entrance to the hot springs here, where the Hair Dryer Thing can be found.

Layout

When Mario first enters the area, he comes across a Toad who works at Tangerino Grill. The Toad explains that he has to find something to melt the ice in the freezer, but is not good at jumping. Huey offers to help, and the Toad happily leaves. Next, Mario must cross multiple moving rocks. The following area contains Piranha Plants and a sequence of six rising and falling blocks. The entrance to the next room is at the upper right, and to reach it, Mario must pull Bowser Tape off one platform and repaint a section of another.

In the third area, Mario must use cutout when the lava is aligned to form a staircase. In the next room, after stepping on a platform in the middle, the Big Lava Bubble jumps out of the lava. A red Shy Guy follows it and translates its thoughts, with it being upset at Mario for entering its home.

Once the Big Lava Bubble is defeated, a pathway is created into the next area: a group of hot springs. Going into the hot springs causes Mario to regenerate all of his health, and Huey relaxes too, almost giving up on Mario to stay in the hot springs. Toad #45 of the red Rescue Squad is slightly more submerged in the water than the other Toads, and leaves after being talked to. Toad #44 is drying himself off with the Hair Dryer Thing, and leaves after Mario squeezes the Thing. Behind one of the waterfalls is an enemy spa with two Snifits, a Boo, three Shy Guys, and an orange Mini Paint Star that opens a shortcut to Toad Trainworks.

The purple Mini Paint Star can be found in the first area. Before the area with six rising and falling platforms, if Mario stands on the first platform and waits for it to lower, then goes to the left, he enters a secret cave with a Snifit and the Mini Paint Star. When collected, it opens a shortcut to Vortex Island.
