75 m in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

75 m (alternatively formatted without a space) is a stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is based closely on the Donkey Kong stage of the same name, particularly the NES version. The stage is very large, but it has a lot of gaps and openings between the many platforms on the stage. Pauline's lost items also appear, though they do not affect gameplay. The ladders on this stage can be climbed, except for the two next to Donkey Kong.

The main hazard on this stage is a Donkey Kong sprite at the top of the screen, which moves inwards and outwards. Donkey Kong moves outwards after the music from Donkey Kong that plays when Donkey Kong is climbing the construction site starts playing, which temporarily pauses the music track that is currently playing. Touching him while he is outwards causes damage to be taken with high knockback, and damaging jacks appear when the Donkey Kong sprite is outward and beats his chest. Fires also appear in this stage.

History

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the stage can be unlocked by playing 20 Vs. matches as Donkey Kong.

In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, the stage remains the same as in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but with the platforms at the far right side of the stage no longer stretching all the way past the blast lines and all platforms can now be fallen through, except for those connected to a ladder. This does not apply to the unclimbable ladders next to Donkey Kong. Also, the stage no longer needs to be unlocked. Like all the other stages in the game, 75m also has its own Ω form. The Ω form of the stage consists of three layers of girders, and some parts of the original 75m stage are now faded into the background. The background is animated, but the jacks do not appear.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The stage returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, it is now rendered in 2D, and the sprites more closely resemble the original arcade version of the level.

Trivia

  • All three music tracks that play on this stage in Brawl include the 25m theme in some shape or form.
  • This is one of the two familiar stages in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U to not appear in Classic or All-Star modes, the other being Temple.
