Daytripper
Template:Kart-infobox The Daytripper (known as the Royal Racer in the British English version) is a medium-sized kart found in Mario Kart Wii. The vehicle resembles an old-fashioned and decorated, horse-drawn coach, with its rear tires larger than the front. Its American English name is a reference to the Beatles' song "Day Tripper", and the European Spanish name of "Sunday Driver" references the lyrics "She was a daytripper, Sunday driver yeah".
The Daytripper can be unlocked by winning the 150cc Leaf Cup or by playing 2,700 races. The Daytripper, along with the Cheep Charger, the Classic Dragster, the Dolphin Dasher and the Honeycoupe, has a color scheme for each character. It is also the only medium kart to use Peach's version for the Mario Kart Channel, Time Trial records, and on the unlocking screen. All other medium vehicles use Mario's versions for these appearances.
Princess Peach's Daytripper makes a cameo appearance as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
Stats
Template:Mkwiistat The Daytripper features great handling along with decent weight, acceleration, off-road, and Mini-Turbo. However, its speed and drifting are rather low. It shares the same weight as the Standard Kart M and the same off-road as the Quacker. It is the slowest medium kart in the game.

Wii Mario Kart Wii 04/2008 | You may think it doesn't look like a racer. You may think it would look more at home on a carousel. But Peach will have the last laugh as she sails past the finish line, leaving you in the dust. The Daytripper's great handling lets it breeze through even the trickiest of courses–and what it lacks in speed, it makes up for in acceleration. | You may think it doesn't look like a racer. Trivia
- The Female Mii is the only driver to use white as the primary body color for the Daytripper, while all other characters use white as the secondary body color. However, this is due to that a medium-sized Female Mii's kart color scheme is the inverse of Peach's color scheme for all karts, except for the Super Blooper and Sprinter.
- If Dry Bowser uses the Offroader, its off-road will surpass the Daytripper by one point.
