World 9-7 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)
Template:Levelbox World 9-7 is the third level of the ninth world in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It is notoriously difficult and the penultimate level of the game. It can be unlocked by collecting every Star Coin at world 7. This is the only level to feature Munchers.
Layout
The level takes place in a snowy forest. At the beginning of the level, Mario must progress by jumping over pipes and small hills. Venus Fire Traps, Munchers and Prickly Goombas try to defeat Mario while he is progressing. Mario then reach a area with a large number of Venus Fire Traps blocking his way and destroying the ground which is made of ice using their fireballs. After that, Mario will find two Fire Bros. destroying the ground using their fireballs. After that, Mario must jump over a pit to reach the Flagpole.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Near the beginning of the level between two pipes, above a platform.
- Star Coin 2: Requires a Fire Flower or Venus Fire Traps to melt the ice blocks above the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3: This Star Coin is arguably the toughest one in the game. Mario can use a Fire Flower or let the Fire Bros. use their fireballs to melt the ice above the Star Coin. He then can use wall-jump or a Propeller Mushroom to collect the Star Coin and get out of the pit.
