Robirdo, as it appears in Super Mario Advance.

In Super Mario Advance, Robirdo was created by Wart and is a new boss of the 8 Bits. It helped Wart and the generals conquering Subcon.

Robirdo has three attacks in battle: The first attack is a classic Birdo attack - firing eggs from its mouth. This is immediately followed by its second attack, which is charging directly towards the player. This attack would be almost impossible to dodge, if it weren't for the seven chains hanging from the ceiling. The player can use them to avoid this attack. The third attack is only used once Robirdo has been damaged - a Ground Pound-like attack that immobilizes and damages the player. The charge also follows the third attack. The only way to damage this boss is to throw the giant eggs, which it shoots from its mouth, back at the robot five times. Once defeated, the killing machine shall be destroyed and Mario and his friends can continue their way to save Subcon from Wart's reign.

Trivia

  • Robirdo is a portmanteau of "robot" and "Birdo".
  • Robirdo speaks with a robotic version of the regular Birdo's voice. One of Birdo's defeat quotes, "How could you?!", is also said by Robirdo.
  • It is unknown whether or not Robirdo is a sentient being, or if it's a mechanism that the actual Birdo is controlling (in a similar manner to Magnus von Grapple and Brobot).
