Fat Guys are corpulent, heavy Shy Guys. Fat Guys appear only in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Universal Gravitation, and Yoshi's Island DS. In Yoshi's Island, Yoshi receives a Giant Egg from eating a Fat Guy. Giant Eggs can't be shot and cannot be taken out of the level they are acquired in. Instead upon using the Giant Egg every enemy on screen turns into a Star. Fat Guys may also be used as platforms, but after jumping on them they will run faster.
In Mario Party DS, Fat Guy has a cameo as Soda Cup and Fries in one of the minigame fast food frenzy.
