Buddy Bounce is a Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party 9.

Introduction

Players bounce on the Bouncy Clouds at varying intervals as the balloons appear.

Gameplay

Players must try to pop balloons by coming in contact with them to score points. The lowest row has balloons that are worth one point, the middle row has balloons that are worth three points, and the top row has balloons that are worth 10 points. The top row can be reached only by bouncing on another player. Balloons reappear five to seven seconds after being popped. After 30 seconds, the player with the highest score wins.

Trivia

  • The point balloons are very similar to those in the New Super Mario Bros. Wii minigame 1-up Blast.
  • It is possible to score more than 99 points in this minigame. If that is done, the counter can show only 99.
