Ground Pound Rebound is the seventh level of World 1 in Yoshi's New Island. It features posts that can be pounded into the ground to reveal secrets or make certain areas accessible. A later segment of the level introduces pipes that exhale clouds of smoke, which float upwards for a while and can be used as platforms.

Overview

Red Yoshi starts in an area with many posts and platforms populated by Stilt Guys and Eggo-Dils. At one point, there is a pipe that leads into an area with Yoshi Stars, which grant Red Yoshi the ability to run up walls and ceilings; as he makes it past a series of surfaces, he grabs a Red Yoshi Star that helps him zoom over a lake of poison, destroying blocks and pipes with Piranha Plants on the way. At the end of this segment, there is a pipe that warps him to a Checkpoint Ring and an Egg Block. This area contains pipes that emit smokey platforms, as well as more Stilt Guys and Eggo-Dils, followed by the Goal Ring.
