Kooper
Kooper is Mario's second party member in Paper Mario.
Mario and Goombario enter Koopa Village to find that Fuzzies have attacked the village and are stealing all the Koopas' shells. Mario gets the shells back for the Koopas and finds Kooper. He tells Mario that his blue shell has been stolen by a Fuzzy and Mario agrees to get it back. Once Mario gets the shell back for Kooper, he joins the party. By pressing C-Down, Kooper will retreat into his shell and Mario can shoot him out short distances, allowing him to flip switches, grab items and attack enemies. He is the second member of Mario's party. He is an adventure-loving Koopa Troopa with a Blue Shell, and he needs Mario's help in order to get it back from the Fuzzies, who invaded his hometown and stole the villager's shells. Once Mario defeats the Fuzzies and brings Kooper's Blue Shell back; he puts it on, and joins his party. Kooper has the ability to hit switches, hit Brick Blocks that floats in the sky or retrieve items that Mario can't reach and can attack enemies outside of battle.
Kooper's childhood hero is Kolorado, and throughout the game he dreams of becoming an archaeologist just like the old Koopa.
