Template:Kart-infobox The Torpedo (also known as Spear in North America) is a bike in Mario Kart Wii that can only be used by large-sized characters. It looks like a torpedo or a blimp that has been converted into a bike (hence the name) with an added engine and exhaust pipes. The character's emblem is on the front of the bike. It is also seen on either side of it.
It is the fastest bike in the game, and it also has good weight. However, all its other stats are quite low. In fact, its off-road is equivalent to the Flame Flyer's off-road.
The kart counterpart for this bike is the Jetsetter. The two vehicles are tied, in terms of weight.
The Spear can be earned by unlocking 12 expert staff ghosts.

Trivia
- The Torpedo is one of six vehicles in Mario Kart Wii to go through a design change other than a palette-swap; the others being the Baby Booster, Bowser Bike, Wario Bike, Twinkle Star, and Phantom. In this case, Bowser's Torpedo, and Dry Bowser's Torpedo, have their exhaust pipes positioned lower than the other Torpedos. Also, Rosalina's Torpedo has shorter handles than the other Torpedos.
