The Dolphin Dasher is an unlockable medium inside drifting bike in the game Mario Kart Wii. It is unlocked by winning the Mirror Star Cup or by playing 3,750 races. The bike is based on the Dolphins from Super Mario World. Similar to the Flame Runner, its general shape resembles a naked bike, specifically a Moto Guzzi Griso. The character's emblem is shown only on the bike's belly. The tires on this bike feature a "wavy" design also found on the Cheep Charger and Super Blooper. The rims inside the tires have beach ball-like patterns. These vehicles are all based on aquatic Mario series enemies.

Its kart counterpart is the Super Blooper, which is slightly faster and lighter, making the Dolphin Dasher the only bike heavier than its kart counterpart. Its small counterpart is the Magikruiser. Mario Kart Arcade GP DX and Mario Kart Tour feature karts similar to the Dolphin Dasher, dubbed the Turbo Dolphin and Dolphin Drifter respectively.

Handling: 40/80
Drift: 24/80
Off-Road: 56/80
Mini-Turbo: 37/80
Vehicle type:
Hang-on

The Dolphin Dasher has a great off-road stat, which is tied with that of the Phantom and the Bit Bike. However, unlike the Magikruiser, it loses some more speed when going off-road. Compared to the Zip Zip, the Dolphin Dasher has more speed and weight, but has less acceleration, handling, drift, off-road, and mini-turbo. It is also noted for being the heaviest medium bike in the game. The Dolphin Dasher shares the same speed and handling stats as the Jet Bubble. The two vehicles also have the same mini-turbo stat.

The internal stats reveal that the Dolphin Dasher has the second best turning capability while drifting among the medium bikes, only behind that of the Mach Bike. However in the vehicle select menu the Drift stat is based exclusively on the raw stat without applying the points bonus that is applied to all the other hang-on type bikes, resulting in this bike having a poor Drift stat even though in-game it has a relatively high turning capability while drifting.

The Dolphin Dasher also features the same weight as the Classic Dragster, and the same speed, acceleration, and handling as the Standard Kart L. It also has the best off-road of all the medium hang-on type bikes, as well as the second best off-road of all the medium bikes and all the hang-on type bikes.

If Daisy rides the Dolphin Dasher, its speed will surpass the Shooting Star's default speed stat by two points, and its mini-turbo will tie with the Phantom's default mini-turbo stat. Also, if Peach rides the Dolphin Dasher, its drift will exceed the Spear's, Tiny Titan's, and Zip Zip's default drift stat by one point.

"If cute was a category, the Dolphin Dasher would be in the top spot. Instead, its Off-Road capabilities are really its best attribute. Just don't try to get too fancy with drifting—you might run into something or even roll 'er!"
