The Worn-Out Jump is an attack in Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Paper Mario: Color Splash. It is the weakest of all Jump-based attacks and cannot be found in shops, but instead early areas of the games. Its Hammer counterpart is the Worn-Out Hammer.

History

Paper Mario: Sticker Star

Template:Quote2 In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Worn-Out Jump stickers can be found on the back of a house in Decalburg and in all levels of World 1 except for the Goomba Fortress. It appears as a boot with a bandage over it on a pale brown background and has a one-star attack power rating. It sells for 1 coin.

As a sticker, it takes up 1 square in Mario's Album. When it is used in a battle, Mario jumps on an enemy. With good timing of A Button presses, Mario can jump on the enemy 4 additional times. As with other Jump-based attacks, Mario takes 5 points of damage if he attempts to jump on enemies with spikes.

The Worn-Out Jump can be placed into the Sticker Museum as #1, alongside other Jump-based stickers.

Paper Mario: Color Splash

In Paper Mario: Color Splash, the Worn-Out Jump serves the same function as before. They can be found on Ruddy Road, Sacred Forest, from the Informant Snifit, and from the Battle Spin. As the player progresses through the game, the Worn-Out Jump becomes more uncommon. It appears as a boot with a loose sole and stitched toe cap. It sells for 1 coin.

When it is used in a battle, Mario jumps on an enemy. With good timing of A Button presses, Mario can jump on the enemy 4 additional times. As with other Jump-based attacks, Mario takes 6 points of damage if he attempts to jump on enemies with spikes.

In the Prisma Museum, the Worn-Out Jump is the first entry of the Basic Card Gallery. The Worn-Out Jump x3 and Worn-Out Jump x5 allow Mario to use multiple Worn-Out Jumps in a row with a single card.
