Welcome, MarioMario456!
Regarding your messageI seen your message and apologize; also, some art files aren't require for Transparents. Second, you don't give a warning tag toward an admins. L151 Thanks for the message! I did not know you were an admin. -- MarioMario456! 12:32, 12 March 2016 (EST) RE: PNG to SVGYour suggestion I've seen can't work for various reasons. First, SVGs are vector-based graphics, not pixel-based. That means that, they're drawn with special lines and curvature that don't lose their size when you scale the image. However, the vast majority of .pngs in this wiki are all pixel-based graphics, not vector-based, meaning that converting them to .svg would be pointless. Finally, not all browsers and devices support .svg integration, whereas, all support .png, so converting rasterized, pixel-based graphics to .svg would be a waste of time. .SVGs work for images that have more simple lines and colors, like game logos for example. Screenshots and 3D artwork, most of the wiki contains simply aren't compatible with .svg. BTW, you can create vector-based graphics only with special programs such as Illustrator, most others such as Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.net, etc, are all pixel based. J-Luigi (talk) 15:37, 12 March 2016 (EST) I liked the old version. -- MarioMario456! 15:39, 12 March 2016 (EST)
Only if that's the official name. Is it? J-Luigi (talk) 20:50, 12 March 2016 (EST)
Appeal noticeTemplate:AppealNotice My case is on the page. J-Luigi (talk) 16:11, 12 March 2016 (EST) Warning
You need to calm down and stop overreacting when people disagree with you or inform you of your mistakes. Within five hours of registering your account, you issued not one but two completely inappropriate warnings, one to an admin, and the other falsely accusing someone of vandalism. If you continue this reckless behaviour, you will get yourself blocked before too long. Also, please refrain from altering images being used on official templates in the future: if something should be changed for legitimate reasons, bring it up in a talk page discussion first. - Walkazo 01:48, 13 March 2016 (EST) Re: Moved pageI'm not sure exactly what you mean. I don't have an SNES either, and chances are I don't have the game these characters are from on Virtual Console. J-Luigi (talk) 09:00, 20 March 2016 (EDT)
Mask KoopaThere was an old proposal to merge all post Special Zone enemies, if you want to recreate the page you will have to go through the proposal process. Yoshi876 (talk) Character infoboxPlease note, that only latest profile artwork can be added to that character's infobox (not involves sports). My sigI apologize for owning a horrendous sig on this wiki, and I will change it immediately so I don't offend the sensitivities of people like you. Oh wait, that's not going to happen. Sigfix
There are a couple things wrong with your sig: firstly, you've essentially ignored two messages saying you need to change the image size to 35px. Secondly, instead of posting raw coding, create Template:Fakelink and put your sig (with the 35px image) there. When you create your sig subpage, make sure it fits in this box: If your sig exceeds the boundaries of this box, it needs to be adjusted for that. Also, be sure to put {{subst:nosubst|User:MarioMario456/sig}} in your preferences. J-Luigi (talk) 16:51, 21 March 2016 (EDT) Don't remove comments on talk pageHi, you can't remove comments on talk page. It's one of the rules on the Mario Wiki. No user can't remove comments.--(TALK) 17:02, 21 March 2016 (EDT)
Last WarningTemplate:Lastwarn If a template is deleted by an admin, then they have a good reason to do so, and you are not allowed to recreate it without permission. You have been breaking several rules over the past few minutes, if you continue with this behaviour, then you will get blocked. Yoshi876 (talk) ClarificationHello, I am currently wondering what you mean with your display title for this page. It is reasonable to tell people not to delete comments, although comments are not allowed to be removed from talk pages anyhow, but you aren't allowed to ban people from your talkpage. RE: Friend
It's not that I'm alone, it's that I've become extremely inactive on the internet due to this year being my final in school. Also being friends is a moral connection, not a physical thing that can be asked for. As for the introduction to my talkpage, it's a joke.--

Dear MarioMario456, Your current signature is in violation of one or more of the rules listed on MarioWiki:Signatures (Rule #6). Please change your signature and keep the regulations and requirements in mind when creating future designs. If you have not made the appropriate changes within one week of receiving this notice, your signature will be changed for you. |
Your signature needs to fit in the box above. Please shrink your images down a few pixels. Oh, and you can view a discussion on my talkpage for clarification. (T|C) 11:11, 31 December 2016 (EST)
RE: Hey!
Ummm... not to be rude but... who are you? Do we really have reason to be friends, since I don't think I've ever communicated with you before?

Image transparency
Hello, I was just wondering whether you added the transparency yourself to that Paper Mario artwork? Fan-added transparency is normally discouraged here.
Shokora (talk · edits) 03:25, 2 January 2017 (EST)
- Judging by Special:ListFiles/MarioMario456, MarioMario456 (talk) has a history of uploading these kinds of images and someone else reverting them. File:MKDD Double Item Box.png, I remember seeing a JPEG of (File:Mkdd double item box.jpg). I'm kind of with Shokora here with the JPEG to PNG part. Fan transparency I am iffy on. If the image is aliased (jagged edges that aren't smoothed like what anti-aliasing algorithms do which makes transparency harder), then it is fine (like File:Red Star.png). --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 03:38, 2 January 2017 (EST)
- Because PNG is better than JPG. ® 06:39, 2 January 2017 (EST)
- Yes it is, but converting JPEG to PNG doesn't do anything to make it better quality. It often makes the file size larger than it needs to be. The PNG format preserves every pixel while trying to reduce redundancy of same pixels while JPEG takes shortcuts to trim down a file size; all cases where pixel detail is lost, even at the highest of JPEG settings. Converting JPEG to PNG just preserves anything produced by the JPEG. JPEG does have advantages that PNG doesn't. JPEG is great for photographs because the pixel detail lost will be barely noticeable while screenshots of games (and maybe some select art) benefit from PNG because most use solid colors or high contrast textures/sprites making the JPEG encoding more noticeable. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 16:09, 2 January 2017 (EST)
- Because PNG is better than JPG. ® 06:39, 2 January 2017 (EST)
- Exactly what Wildgoosespeeder said. And editing the edges of the image (such as fading them out to accommodate transparency) isn't really acceptable here. Thank you for your understanding.
Shops
Not sure if you know this, or if you're just making it as a joke, but Userspace Shops are not allowed anymore. A proposal passed a while ago banning them from userspace. 18:13, 2 January 2017 (EST)
- Why no longer allowed? ® 18:17, 2 January 2017 (EST)
- "[...]users have been spending inordinate amounts of time and edits on fictional "shops" that they run out of their userspace (messing about with stock, hiring other users, advertising, giving stuff away, etc. etc.). However, the Super Mario Wiki is NOT a social website, and these shops do NOT help us document all things Mario - rather, they distract folks from editing, clutter up the recent changes, and eat up our server space."
