Typically, a subject's notability is determined by two factors: 1) if there is an official name for the subject (i.e., an actual proper noun with capital letters, like "Goomba" or "Luigi," not say "sand"), and 2) the subject makes an actual appearance in the media it is referenced in (otherwise an officially named subject would be an [[:category:Implied|implied]] subject). Welcome, Yoshario/talk archive 1-103! Welcome to the Super Mario Wiki!, the official and most complete wiki for everything Mario. I'm Glitchman, and let me just say that we're glad to have you as a member. If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to post them on the FAQ talk page, or you could ask an experienced user and/or Sysop. If it's a problem that you can't fix yourself (e.g. the Mario Kart DS page needs to be rewritten but I've never played the game), try contacting someone that has experience in that subject. The following pages provide information and rules about reading, authoring, and participating in the Super Mario Wiki community, so it would be best if you read most of them. If this is your first time visiting, reading the Introduction may help you to get started. How do I do that?
Specific Help
Categories You are welcome to browse through the following categories: External Resources Things you can do
As you can see, we have plenty of features to offer, on the wiki side and on the community side. Feel free to chat in (you guessed it) the Chatroom, post your ideas and friend codes for games and such on the Forum, and read our community newspaper, the 'Shroom. If you want to get involved in editing and in the community, you may want to:
However, before you just sign up for these things willy-nilly just because you want to be apart of it, read about each one thoroughly before making the decision to sign up. For example, if you choose to write for the 'Shroom community newspaper, you must write your section and turn it in to the director EACH MONTH, so it's actually a big committment. Don't be afraid to delete this message when you're done reading it. After all, your user space belongs to you. I hope this information was helpful to you, and that you'll have a great experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community. Remember to enjoy your experience here and also have fun! Also, if you need further help, feel free to leave a message at a welcome committee member's talk page (such as myself). |
Hello
Would you consider reading my proposalΔ ΔΔ Δ
I barely visit MiiWiki, so I don't think you saw me there. Maybe on Userpedia, though. But, hello, anyway. My Bloody Valentine
I'm not the one who made that up, Wikipedia is. *runs away* My Bloody Valentine
That was a joke, yo. :P My Bloody Valentine
Oooooooo pretty welcome template. When I came to this wiki all I got was a guy to come and tell me to do better grammar. When did it get so elaborate? - Ultimatetoad
RE:Shroom
OK, Glitchman's is already doing it, but I guess an additional interviewer doesn't hurt. --Blitzwing 18:41, 22 May 2008 (EDT)

propose
I agree on your proposal on the mario's last name thing so if there is any way i can help leave a comment on my talk page and i respond A.S.A.P. SINCERLY, Game freak
Yeah, spoilers are evil. It would be funny if someone played the original Mario Bros and said "Hmm, what will the boss be?"
That's like saying "Is The Pope Catholic?"
Princess Peach FA Nomination
Hi. You opposed the FA nomination of Princess Peach for having too many Super Princess Peach images. Currently, there are only four images from this game in the gallery, so I think you should remove your vote too. Thanks! Time Questions 13:17, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
Re:SMS Episodes
But... what's the point? It's just a copy word for word, and even if we removed it from the level articles, it would just make them shorter. The descrpitions for the episodes are short enough, and I doubt we need an article designated to it. Marcelagus (T • C • E)
Hi
Hello Clay Mario, I am Mario3v how are you? Mario5x (talk)

RE: Articles
Typically, a subject's notability is determined by two factors: 1) if there is an official name for the subject (i.e., an actual proper noun with capital letters, like "Goomba" or "Luigi," not say "sand"), and 2) the subject makes an actual appearance in the media it is referenced in (otherwise an officially named subject would be an implied subject). Outside these criteria, it becomes difficult determining what and what should not have an article. The lists you were creating were basically listing of more lists, or other minor subjects. That's why we have categories - to generate lists of the articles the category is placed on. That would have worked better. List articles are usually created for MAJOR category subjects (like characters) or if the list is actually offering commentary on a notable subject (like King Koopa's alter egos).
