Terra Cottas were an advanced version of the Terrapin soldiers appearing as enemies in Bowser's Keep in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Though they changed sides and worked for the Smithy Gang, they were easily scared off by Bowser, which was very helpful, as they were very strong.
