Are the world 1-8 articles needed? There different in every game! I want to delete them, but I wont till i get the O.K. - User: Ultimatetoad

Check PipeProject: Levels for the format of creating levels for different games. I believe we are missing quite a few. -- Son of Suns

O.k., but we need them to say World 1: 1-1 1-2 1-3 1-4

and I'm not sure it should just say "Many Games"

Section needs expanding...

Aright, the Places section needs expanding and I'm already halfway there; are there are things that are needed to be removed like the Wario Places from Wario World, obviously it needs to be moved into a sub-section, Right? Here's a list that will be included when it is expanded and things that will not be included for reasons...

Places that will be included

• Race Courses
• Courts (from Mario Power Tennis)
• Rooms (from Luigi's Mansion, on special occasions)
• Areas like in RPG games
• Specific Levels (on special occasions)
• Non-Game Locations (includes the TV shows series, not DK animated series!!)

Places that will not be included

• Wario Places
• DK Places (probably covered that)
• Yoshi Places

Here some reasons why other places will not be included…

• 1) It didn't came from a Mario Game.
• 2) It has to contain Mario playable in it; for instance, if you heard a place called Dinasour Land that Yoshis and Mario is in it, it cam be included...Or if Mario appears in SMW2, and one of the Yoshis is the player, the place will not be included.
• 3) On special occasions like Lugi's Mansion, it is obvious that Luigi is playable like Mario because Luigi is with Mario all the time (maybe not all the time) like in SMB, SMB2, or SMB3.

If you want to respond here about something that is wrong, I'll be responding that soon as possible RAP...

True, then it is settled. Plus, it is MAJORITY UPDATED!! RAP...

Like Wayoshi says, Yoshi is too Marioish to have a different wiki, different pages (like Yoshi Characters, Yoshi Enemies ect.) so I just don't want Yoshi Places to be an article. The rest is fine. Paper Jorge (Talk·Contribs)

Sorting

How are we supposed to sort articles starting with "The" in this list? Should they all go under T, or should we sort them by the letter after "the"? Time Questions 09:42, 26 August 2009 (EDT)

Revert irritating DK places change

I don't know who did it, but in the later letters on the list - R, S and T are the ones I noticed, but there may be more - all the Donkey Kong places are grouped at the end, in their own, mini-alphabet. This is annoying and makes things harder to find, and especially hard when you're trying to place certain locations in the list and then you realise you've accidentally put it in the middle of the DK places. Can someone please revert it? It would make things generally easier to access.

Odyssey

Should we the add the names of each kingdom's different locations to the list? (ex. For Luncheon Kingdom there's Mount Volbono, Peronza Plaza, Meat Plateau, etc. ) I know there isn't specific pages dedicated to them but we can just redirect it back to the kingdom from which they came from until if/when there is separate pages for them. Clarifying hyperlinks: Daisy Cruiser

At the moment, the "Daisy Cruiser" hyperlink goes to the Mario Kart course. I believe it should link to the location page (https://www.mariowiki.com/Daisy_Cruiser) because "Daisy Cruiser" refers to the Mario Super Sluggers location as well. I cannot change this myself b/c I am a normal user. Could someone else look into this? Also there may be other similar situations with other locations, feel free to post about that here. 174.219.197.181 17:15, December 5, 2024 (EST)

Change the article

I don’t think the article should be categorised in alphabetical order the way it is. I think it should be something like:

• Mushroom World
  • Dark Land
  • Desert Land
  • Giant Land
  • Grass Land
  • Ice Land
  • Mushroom Kingdom
    • Toad Town
      • Mario Bros.' House
      • Toad Town Dojo
      • Club 64
      • Shy Guy's Toy Box
  • Pipe Land
  • Sky Land
  • Water Land

It's a large article. What kind of organization structure are you specifically advocating for? It's not immediately clear from your post. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:10, February 12, 2025 (EST)

It appears to be to reorganize this article such that places that are part of larger regions are sorted as bullet points below their larger region. Mushroom World contains all of the Lands of Super Mario Bros. 3, and also the Mushroom Kingdom. In turn, Toad Town is a part of the Mushroom Kingdom, and goes beneath that. And in turn, all of the locations in Toad Town in Paper Mario are parts of Toad Town, and so go below that.

This seems sensible at first but a) alphabetical sorting works. There are also a number issues to work out.

• b) This kind of sorting means the wiki has to answer "Is the Mushroom Kingdom part of the Mushroom World?", "Which games are confirmed to take place entirely within the Mushroom Kingdom?", and "Are areas that Bowser controls definitionally outside the Mushroom Kingdom?", none of which we're allowed to create an answer because we're not allowed to make inferences. (It uh, doesn't help that most games don't bother defining where the Mushroom Kingdom ends.)
  • b.1) Does Super Mario Maker and all of its courses take place in the Mushroom Kingdom?
• c) Recurring locations would presumably have duplicate entries so that they can go under each of their parent locations. Yoshi's House would have an entry below Yoshi's Island (location), Mushroom Kingdom (Super Mario Odyssey), and Sky Station Galaxy. Bowser's Castle would go under nearly every World 8. Peach's Castle appears safe since it's defined as being within the Mushroom Kingdom, but under this system it would also need to be under several racetracks like N64 Royal Raceway and 3DS Mario Circuit
• d) We have to figure out where locations that move and have no set home point should go, such as Bowser's Castle in The Super Mario Bros. Movie
• e) We have to have the argument on if Bowser's body should be listed under Cavi Cape (where the game starts), Bowser's Castle (where Bowser usually is), under nearly every location in Bowser's Inside Story (because Bowser can go to all of those places and takes his body with him), or if it shouldn't be under any location because Bowser's body is better treated as a dimension because of how weird that story is.Salmancer (talk) 21:29, February 12, 2025 (EST)
