Blewbirds are enemies in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. These blue bird-like creatures have black shells and shoot red, beak-like arrows in the direction they are facing. When this arrow hits a wall, it extends into a horizontal pole that the player is able to walk on or grab onto. When this enemy is defeated, another one will burrow up to take its place. They prominently appear in the level Blewbird Roost. Their English name comes from "blew" and "bluebird".[1] During a Wonder Effect, Blewbirds become Wonder Blewbirds.
