The Item Shop, where medals can be spent

Medals appear in Wario Land 4 as a currency for purchasing items from the Item Shop. Medals can be won from Game Bots in the Mini-Game Shop by getting a good score on their corresponding mini-games. The prices of the items depends on the game mode. Items are available for purchase to assist Wario in defeating a boss.
