Smash Mail is a digital activity created to promote Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube. It is similar in concept to correspondence chess.
Gameplay
The user could partake in a scheduled match[2] with a set group of people, which would presumably be split into groups. Once the match began, the user and their opponent would choose an action, then receive a short video showing how the action played out[3]. The user needed to have a Smash Mail account to be able to participate, as would their opponent[4]. The activity is currently lost, as no working archives are known to exist.
