Gameplay of Tokyo Sky Flight

Tokyo Sky Flight is a minigame in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. This minigame can be played during Story Mode or in the Game Room.

Gameplay

The player controls Mario who is controlling the Tornado while Sonic stands on the area infront. The player can shoot out normal and charge shots to destory enemies, however, some enemies use Bumpers as shields, meaning the player cannot shoot that enemy. The player can also use loops, which causes the Tornado to spin, this loop causes a shockwave which can stun some enemies, however, there is a cooldown to how much you can use this due to Sonic losing balance due to the spin. During the stages, there is Rings to collect which don't act how they normally do in other Sonic the Hedgehog games due to there being a heart counter with five hit points. When you reach the end of the stage, the player must fight a boss, there is one stage in Story Mode, and three in the Game Room.
