The title of this article is official, but it comes from a non-English source.
If an acceptable English name is found, then the article should be moved to the new title.
- This article is about a bird enemy in Mario vs. Donkey Kong. For information about one of Falco's special moves in the Super Smash Bros. series, see Falco Lombardi § Fire Bird.
Firebirds are enemies found in Fire Mountain and Fire Mountain Plus of Mario vs. Donkey Kong. They spawn from rings of fire and perform four complete flights across a level, much like Birds do, before disappearing. Another Firebird spawns from the same fire ring shortly afterwards.
As soon as they appear from a ring, Firebirds will drop an egg covered in flames. They will occasionally try to drop more flaming eggs onto Mario when they spot him underneath. Mario cannot deflect a Firebird's eggs with a handstand like he could do with a Bird's eggs, getting burnt if he does so. Mario will also lose a life if he touches a Firebird or a fire ring. It is impossible to defeat a Firebird.
