Mecha Crocodile Isle was the Kremling Krew's base of operations during the events of Donkey Kong 64. It's shaped to look like K. Rool, and is itself is massive (bigger the Donkey Kong Island). It crashes into a large rock due to bad Kremling drivers and the crash breaks the Blast-O-Matic cannon that King K. Rool planned to destroy Donkey Kong Island with. This delay gave time to the the Kongs and allowed them to destroy the Blast-O-Matic.
