Template:Minigame-infobox Goomba Bowling is a Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party 9, and is set to return in the minigame compilation game Mario Party: The Top 100.
A full version is available in Extra Mode, which awards players five Party Points when finished. This minigame is similar to Bowl Over from Mario Party and Mario Party 2.
Introduction
The camera, starting at the fortress, backs up toward the players showing the Goombas lined up.
Gameplay
Before the game starts, a "spinning" arrow determines who goes first.
Players try to knock as many Goombas over with one throw as they can. Goombas move side to side as the player throws, requiring the players to time their shots carefully. Hitting every Goomba will earn a player a perfect score of 20 points. Getting this will earn the player a special "Strike!" message. For each shot, players have 15 seconds.
The Extra Mode version of the minigame consists of five frames for each player. Each player gets two tries to take out all 20 Goombas for each frame, and the player with the most points after the fifth frame is the winner. Players can earn bonus points if all the Goombas are taken out; a "Strike" awards 20 points, while a "Spare" awards 10 points. Players can achieve a perfect score of 200, if they manage to get a "Strike" on every frame.
In-game text
