Spike Koopas[1] are short Koopa Troopas found only in Mario Party, appearing exclusively in the minigame Key-pa-Way. Their role is to protect Bowser's stash by preventing all four characters from unlocking the door to the Treasure Chest. If a character comes in contact with one, he or she will be stunned or drop the Bowser Key. They can be easily avoided by jumping and tossing the Bowser Key.
