The Lightning Cup is a cup in the Mario Kart series. Its first appearance is in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. It is a cup between the Flower Cup and Star Cup. It is absent in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, but it makes a reappearance in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii as a cup with tracks from past Mario Kart games. The emblem of the cup is the Thunderbolt. It features tracks from the previous cups: the Flower Cup, the Lightning Cup (Mario Kart: Super Circuit), the Star Cup, and the Special Cup. The cup conists long, difficult courses, and are usually as long as the ones in the Special Cup. The following tracks appear in the Lightning Cup.
