Steamer is a mustachioed locomotive found in Western Land of Mario Party 2. The characters can ride Steamer by hitting a block. If the character hits it and gets a Toad, Steamer goes forward, but if a Goomba appears, Steamer goes backward.
Steamer made an cameo appearance in Mario Party 3. It appears in the Duel Minigame End of the Line.
Steamer then made a minor cameo in the Mario Party 4 board Toad's Midway Madness.
In Mario Party 5's Super Duel Mode, the Steamer appeared as one of the machines the player can make. It is very fast, but has poor control. Its Weapon is the Pokey Tower.
In Mario Party DS, a toy Steamer makes appearance in the 1-Vs.-3 Mini-game Track Star. One player stand on the toy train and the rest stand on the rails and try to run away from it. The player is given the choice to either go left or right. If a player chooses the opposite way of the Steamer, they jump in a mine cart along with other players who chose the same way and watch the player who chose the other way. If a player chose the same way as the Steamer, they must tap repeatedly at the two buttons that are shown on the screen to run faster. The player on the Steamer must press A repeatedly to try and catch the fleeing player.
