The Bowser cannon is an obstacle that appears during the Wonder Effect of the three flying battleship levels in Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Fluff-Puff Peaks Flying Battleship, Petal Isles Flying Battleship, and Deep Magma Bog Flying Battleship. It resembles both Castle Bowser and the airship's mast. It spawns in with an evil laugh once the player collects the Wonder Flower, and begins to fly in a bobbing motion in the background while shooting at the player. Similarly to Kroc, its shots are represented with a crosshair that follows the player, stopping only to flash briefly and explode. Said explosion has the ability to not only harm enemies and players, but destroy objects such as Crates, Hard Blocks, Iron Blocks, and Bill Blasters along with activating Marimba Blocks. Once the Wonder Seed is collecting (usually by means of using the shots to the player's advantage), the Bowser cannon disappears with an angered growl in a puff of smoke. All three of its appearances use the same music, that being "Doomy-Gloom Wonder."

When a Wonder Effect occurs on a flying battleship, a giant turret appears bobbing through the sky in the background that fires powerful beams onto the course. The turret is identical to the figurehead of the battleship itself and at least one source implies they are one in the same.[1] The only difference between them is that the turret's eyes glow pink instead of green. It occurs only on the three flying battleship courses in Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Fluff-Puff Peaks Flying Battleship, Petal Isles Flying Battleship, and Deep Magma Bog Flying Battleship.

The turret appears with an evil laugh once the player collects the Wonder Flower, and begins to fly in a bobbing motion in the background while shooting at the player. Its shots are represented with a crosshair that follows the player character, stopping only to flash briefly and fire. The explosions from its attacks has the ability to not only harm enemies and player characters, but destroy objects such as Crates, hard blocks, Iron Blocks, and Bill Blasters along with activating Marimba Blocks. Once the Wonder Seed is collecting (usually by means of using the shots to clear obstructing parts of the course), the turret vanishes with an angered growl in a puff of smoke. All three of its appearances use the same music, "Doomy-Gloom Wonder."
