Aeon Co., Ltd., also stylized as AEON or ÆON, is a Japanese retail company. Since 2023, Nintendo has collaborated with Aeon to create events promoting games in the Super Mario franchise.
Quiz rallies
Super Mario Bros. Wonder (October 2023)
Starting October 21, 2023, a quiz rally took place at the video game sections of Japanese Aeon stores to promote Super Mario Bros. Wonder.[2] Participants had to wear a reversible Mario/Luigi sun visor and answer three questions related to the game on posters around the store.[2] Each participant would receive a sticker at the end.[2]

Mario & Luigi Quiz Rally (November–December 2024)
Another quiz rally was held at the video game sections of Japanese Aeon stores starting November 30, 2024, titled Mario & Luigi Quiz Rally (マリオ＆ルイージ クイズラリー, Mario ando Ruīji Kuizu Rarī).[4] It used the same format as the previous quiz rally, with participants having to wear sun visors and answer four questions related to games featuring Mario and Luigi (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and Mario & Luigi: Brothership).[4] Participants received two holiday-themed Mario and Luigi stickers for answering correctly to all questions.[4] In addition, customers who purchased one of the games featured in the quiz received a clear file depicting Mario and Luigi.[4]

Nintendo Switch de Asoberu Mario no Game o Taiken Shiyō! is a series of events organized by Nintendo at shopping malls in Japan in 2023 and 2024. It consists in kiosks in which groups of two or more people can "compete" in selected portions of games in the Super Mario franchise on the Nintendo Switch.[1] The first of these events took place in 2023 at four locations with movie theaters in conjunction with the release of The Super Mario Bros. Movie.[1] The games featured were a race in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, levels in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, and a Coin Battle in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, respectively.[1][2] Each participant received an original postcard for playing.[1] The locations were the following:[1]
- April 29 - Ario Kameari (Tokyo)
- April 29–30 - Seven Park Amami (Osaka Prefecture)
- May 3–4 - Aeon Mall Makuhari New City (Chiba Prefecture)
- May 3–5 - Aeon Mall Kyoto Katsuragawa (Kyoto Prefecture)
The event was later rerun at some of these locations.
