Variant of | Cannon |
Diagonal cannons[1] are obstacles in Super Mario Bros. 3. These double-barreled cannons fire cannonballs out of either end and are mounted on background elements such as semisolid metal bays. They are not to be confused with grounded regular cannons, which can also be found facing diagonally. Despite having two sides, they are only capable of firing out of one end. Diagonal cannons appear in World 2-Airship, World 3-Airship, and World 5-Airship. In Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3's World-e, they also appear in Armored Airship, Bowser's Airship 1, and Bowser's Airship 2.
