Template:Quote2 The Orbs are special items in Paper Mario: The Origami King. They are used to unlock the Sea Tower and are all found on Diamond Island. They are first mentioned by a statue on Bonehead Island that also mentions the island and "paradise". Once Mario and Olivia have entered Diamond Island, another statue congratulates them on finding the Diamond Key but informs them their challenges have just begun. It explains there are three trials on the island, which can be completed in any order. Clearing each trial awards Mario an orb. Olivia sees the orbs as prizes for clearing the trials, and they set out to earn them.
The orb found at the end of each temple corresponds with the trial held at the temple. As such, the Power Orb is red and found at the Trial of Power, the Wisdom Orb is blue and found at the Trial of Wisdom, and the Courage Orb is green and found at the Trial of Courage. Once all three trials are conquered, Mario is congratulated again by both the statue and Olivia. However, Olivia soon realizes she does not even know what the orbs are meant for.
As it turns out, the orbs must be placed into a door of the Sea Tower (where the purple streamer eventually leads to). With the orbs in place, the door opens, allowing Mario and Olivia to enter the tower. The orbs are not seen again after that point, as they no longer have any purpose.
