Pennies[1] are enemies that appear in Hotel Mario. In Wendy's Blitz Snarlton Hotel, Mario and Luigi must be careful when collecting Coins, as they may really be Pennies in disguise. When they are approached, Pennies grow eyes, two very heavy eyebrows and a smirking mouth. Once Mario finds the piggy bank in the secret room where Wendy hid the real coins, they no longer become Pennies.
