4-man Bobsleigh is a Bobsleigh Event that appears in Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. The objective of the event is to complete the course in the fastest time, with the event taking place at the Sanki Sliding Center. Toad and Chao appear as referees in this event.
Gameplay[edit]
In this event, the player can charge up energy by holding down and before "Go!" appears onscreen, and will gain an additional starting boost for doing so with good timing. To start the event, the player must either press and repeatedly or swing the Wii Remote down when "Go!" appears onscreen to start running. Doing so with perfect timing will give the player a starting boost. Once the characters have started running, the player can increase their speed by either repeatedly pressing and or by shaking the Wii Remote up and down, with higher speeds reached by performing the actions more times. Once the player's speed is locked, they must board the sled by either swinging the GamePad upwards or pressing on the Wii Remote. The closer each character can board to the starting line, the more of a speed boost the player can gain to start the course. Once on the course, the player steers by tilting the Wii Remote or GamePad left or right, with tighter turns being able to be performed with larger tilts. Additionally, the player using the GamePad controls computer-controlled characters' turns by pressing and holding or depending on the direction they want to tilt them in. The course also features a number of boost zones, which will provide boosts for the player if they can stay on them for an extended period of time. The longer the player can stay in a boost zone for, the greater the speed boost they can achieve. The team the completes the course in the fastest time wins.
