He is the mini-boss of Crystal Caves, where he is stationary on the top floor of the cave. It attacks by smashing its club on the floor, causing a large tremor that makes stalactites rain down on the level.
Tiny Kong is the only Kong who can encounter the Giant Viking Kremling, as she must use Monkeyport to reach the top. When she teleports to the top, Tiny must go in front of the Giant Viking Kremling. She can defeat the Giant Viking Kremling by either playing her musical instrument, using the shockwave attack, or throwing an orange at the mini-boss while it is vulnerable.
The Giant Viking Kremling does not reappear after being defeated, thus permanently ending the stalactite showers in the level.
