A Challenge Area is a space in Mario Party: Island Tour where players must stop moving to face a challenge, functioning similarly to a Dead-End Space at the end of the board. They appear only in the Perilous Palace Path and Bowser's Peculiar Peak boards. In Perilous Palace Path, players need to hit a switch out of three switches in order to lower a bridge to bypass a Thwomp. In Bowser's Peculiar Peak, players need to pick a fuse that does not lead to the wall breaking on the path to Bowser.
