Kyogre is a Legendary Water-type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. It has the ability to expand the oceans, and often clashed with Groudon, who can expand landmasses. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, it can be spawned from a Poké Ball or Master Ball and attacks by using Hydro Pump, which involves it floating into the air and shooting large bursts of water towards either side of the screen. The water does not do damage (though Kyogre itself has contact damage), but is intended to push opponents off of the stage. Opponents can resist the water by shielding or rolling against it.
