Hello, fellow Super Mario Wiki Users. I'm Goombella. Now, I know what you're asking me. Why would you want to use Goombella a Username? I'm telling you, it's not super-original and awesome, but I happen to be a fan of her and I already know where to find a sprite when I make my signature. Anyway, I joined the Super Mario Wiki on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. I'm new here, so this page is under construction for the time being. For now, how about some general information?

Username

As I have mentioned previously, I chose the Username Goombella for the following reasons:

1) Sprite-finding easy.

2) Being a big fan of Goombella.

3) Goombas are my fave species!

4) She loves to read, and I love to read!

Editing Style

Personally, I am a big fan of the can't-go-wrong edits: small grammar edits here and there; spelling errors; punctuation; things like that. Sometimes when I find an article majorly lacking, then I will add as much as I can to it. Rarely do I create something from scratch.

About Goombella

The hilight of the page, right? Here are some facts and figures about good ol' Goombella.

Goombella is Mario's first partner in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

When Mario arrives at Rogueport at the beginning of the game, he sees a Goomba girl being attacked by Lord Crump. Mario helps her and defeats Lord Crump. Goombella thanks Mario and joins his party. She possesses most of the same abilities Goombario has outside of battle in the first Paper Mario.

Her Tattle ability gives the player helpful information on places, people, enemies, etc. Like Goombario's summaries, Goombella inserts her own little opinions in her descriptions. For example, she disses Beldam's snotty attitude, shows signs of resentment upon reading the "underlings of underlings" comment her book says regarding Goombas, and points out that it's nice to have access to a bathroom now and then (that's a field-only one, stated in the Glitz Pit's major league locker room, where the bathroom is always occupied).

Goombella also has an odd tendency of breaking the fourth wall. In Glitzville she mentions how far Cheep-Cheeps have come since Super Mario Bros., and in Twilight Town she says that if there weren't people like the gatekeeper in every town games would be beaten too easily. Both times she stops abruptly after she says the comment, seeming to point out that game characters know about the Fourth Wall but aren't supposed to talk about it.

Her name is probably a portmanteau between "Goomba" and the female name "Isabella". Goombella's name in the Japanese version of the game is Kurisuchiinu (Pronounced Ku-Ri-Su-Ti-Nu), which comes from both Kuribo, the Japanese name for Goomba, and the female name "Christine".

At the end of the game, Goombella begins to tell Mario that she is in love with him, but then changes her mind.

She becomes Professor Frankly's lab assistant at the very end of the adventure.

In Super Paper Mario, Goombella appears as a Catch Card won by winning the Duel of 100 in the Sammer's Kingdom.
