The '''Chomp Rock Zone''' is the fifth level in [[World 4 (YI)|World 4]] in ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]''. The [[player]] starts out in a brownish grassy field as [[Purple Yoshi]]. As the player walks through out the [[level]], they will see a [[Chomp Rock]]. The player must push Chomp Rock to get around most of this level. After entering the blue spotted [[door]], the player will no longer need the Chomp Rock for the level. At this point the player is in another brownish grassy field. Lastly, the player must head  through out the small field and they will reach the [[Goal Roulette]], and will gain access to [[Lake Shore Paradise]].

==Overview==
Purple Yoshi starts the level on a hill, with a Chomp Rock and a [[Message Block]]. Purple Yoshi can push this Chomp Rock to defeat the enemies in his way, including a [[Unshelled Koopa Troopa|Beach Koopa]] and [[Tap-Tap]]s. Then, Purple Yoshi finds four posts, which can be destroyed by using a [[Ground Pound]]. On the right, defeating a couple of [[Shy Guy|Shy-Guy]]s, Purple Yoshi finds a room, in which he can use a [[Green Shell]] to defeat a line of [[Koopa Troopa]]s and earn a life. Destroying the posts, Purple Yoshi finds a gray Chomp Rock, that must be pushed down a hill, defeating various enemies in its way. There is also an invisible [[Winged Cloud]] in the Chomp Rock spot, containing [[Star (Yoshi's Island series)|Star]]s.

Purple Yoshi must use the Chomp Rock to destroy orange blocks, leading to a hill. In this part, [[Item Balloon|Baron von Zeppelin]]s attempt to harm Purple Yoshi by throwing Bombs at him. There is also a [[Fly Guy]] holding a [[Red Coin]]. [[Melon Bug]]s can also be found here. After this section, Purple Yoshi encounters a [[Checkpoint Ring|Middle Ring]] and has to push the Chomp Rock through various hills, defeating various enemies. The Chomp Rock Zone is the fifth level in World 4 in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. As the name implies, in this level, the player has to deal with Chomp Rocks, scattered through the stage. This level's playable Yoshi is the Purple Yoshi.

Overview[edit]

Purple Yoshi starts the level on a hill, with a Chomp Rock and a Message Block. Purple Yoshi can push this Chomp Rock to defeat the enemies in his way, including a Beach Koopa and Tap-Taps. Then, Purple Yoshi finds four posts, which can be destroyed by using a Ground Pound. On the right, defeating a couple of Shy-Guys, Purple Yoshi finds a room, in which he can use a Green Shell to defeat a line of Koopa Troopas and earn a life. Destroying the posts, Purple Yoshi finds a gray Chomp Rock, that must be pushed down a hill, defeating various enemies in its way. There is also an invisible Winged Cloud in the Chomp Rock spot, containing Stars.

At the end of the long hill, Purple Yoshi finds more posts, requiring Ground Pounds. Here, Purple Yoshi must hit a Winged Cloud, causing a platform to appear. This platform allows Purple Yoshi to push the Chomp Rock. He can use it then to reach a tall plain with a Special Flower. Progressing through the level, Purple Yoshi finds a pipe spawning Shy-Guys, to replenish Purple Yoshi's eggs. Purple Yoshi must use the Chomp Rock to destroy orange blocks, leading to a hill. In this part, Baron von Zeppelins attempt to harm Purple Yoshi by throwing Bombs at him. There is also a Fly Guy holding a Red Coin. Melon Bugs can also be found here. After this section, Purple Yoshi encounters a Middle Ring and has to push the Chomp Rock through various hills, defeating various enemies.
