<gallery> tags

Hello 22fiftyseven. Is there a way to change how the <gallery> tags function - like say change it's default function from creating 4 in a row into 5 in a row? It would be beneficial to very long gallery pages, saves some of our time, and it actually fits under the resolution of 1024 X 768; even if some of the galleries like Gallery:Super Mario 64, and Gallery:Super Mario Galaxy 2 already have that "manually" functioned with <gallery perrow=5>. I mean come on, you guys somehow forced those galleries to place itself in the center/middle of the page without even using the <center> tags - which I find surprising! Imageframe(?) tag?

Hello 2257, I recall seeing some kind of imageframe tag being used in one of the articles in MarioWiki and I can't seem to figure out where it is, or what the name is. I need to know what is the name of the tag, and how it functions. As far as my knowledge goes, it allows you to display two images in a frame without any overlapping. Do you know what it is? Hey. Thanks for the reply, I'm still no good at all this skin stuff. I admit that I don't really know the difference between cascade style sheet and custom Javascript. Is it just that they are both able to do different things? Anyway, I'm really sorry to bother you with all this, but I just need some advice. But I've messed around with that CSS Tutorial you showed me in the chat, and I found some cool thing there. I even took a look at other user's monobooks here, including yours ^^. I had a whirl at importing your monobook.css, and I quite liked it. I didn't keep it, though. What I'll find handy for a skin is having the link to recent changes on the side bar to automatically go to;

Additionally, what is the difference between the /monobook and the /common ?

I have previously tried writing my /monobook.js, and it seemed to work when I previewed it before it was created, but it hasn't worked thereafter. Please take a look at User:YoshiKong/monobook.js. I wanna add a link to my work page on the links at the top of the page (between "talk" and "preferences"). Can you figure out where I went wrong? And is it able to be merged with my /common.js ?

Hey, I don't know if you're still around or not...

I just wanted to say thanks. I've been doing a lot of writing and world-building over the past few years, delving deeper and deeper into the details of how everything manages to work the way it does. It adds a layer of plausability and depth that I wouldn't be able to work with otherwise, and I think it all started with your theory on Evanadium. That kick-started my own detail work, realizing that the devil is in the details (so to speak), and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback regarding the level of detail I've put into my world-building. Hm, that's what I thought. Our wiki doesn't have an equivalent, but I've been suggested by an admin and MarioWiki:Japanese to use span class explain tags as in Big Lantern Ghost's profile. I wasn't aware of the existence of a ruby tag, but I do think our wiki can benefit from a template of either the two since explain tags are usually a pain to write out anyway. Mario^-HOHO! あのう、as for that ruby character template, I suggested the idea on 13 February 2016 but Walkazo didn't reply me even though she was responding on something else later so I guess she personally didn't approve of the idea. It seems to be because many pages have already started to use <span class=explain title="..."></span> so switching to a new template will be huge work and leaving two ways of introducing furigana will be messy and look inconsistent. This works, but there is a side problem: the wiki has a rather small font size, namely 12.7px for text and 12px for references. On a computer, this means that furigana will be about 6 or 7 px. An obvious solution is to have larger fonts or even special divs for game dialogues, like the one on The Cutting Room Floor, but I'm wondering what to do to the foreign name boxes on this wiki. Perhaps as

MW:JAPANESE

Some things MW:JAPANESE has not yet covered:

1. Should 鳳凰ほうおう be romanized as Hōō or Hō'ō ? Wiktionary does not include the apostrophe but I added it since I think it looks better when added.
2. Sometimes a word is written in katakana but really from hiragana. Do you think they should still be romanized using the rules for hiragana? For example, "ノコタロウ" is derived from 太郎たろう. I suppose that should still be romanized as "Nokotarō" instead of "Nokotarou"?
